Beaded spider necklace

Authentic antique first nation glass trade beads . (Circa: 1700-1800) over 30 trade beads with a current value for collecting  up to $30 each. Other beads include black faceted and black seed beads as well as silver caps. 

This design was inspired by the creation story of the Spider Woman. I felt it was fitting considering the nature of the beads i was using.  

The Spider Woman (or Spider Grandmother) is a central creator deity in Southwestern Native American mythology, primarily associated with the Hopi, Navajo (Diné), and Pueblo tribes. She is revered as a grandmother figure, creator of the universe, and a teacher of weaving and survival skills.
